WHO launches guideline for non-surgical management of chronic low back pain in primary care

The World Health Organization (WHO) has released evidence-based guidelines for managing Chronic Primary Low Back Pain (CPLBP) in adults within primary and community care settings. The guideline is aimed at health workers across disciplines, and focuses on nonsurgical interventions to improve CPLBP-related health outcomes. The guideline is intended for medical doctors, nurses, allied health workers, and public health managers, and it offers discipline-neutral recommendations. It will support improved care for CPLBP, benefitting practitioners and patients in primary and community healthcare environments worldwide.
